Graceful Hands Trust celebrates Women’s Day with vow to empower women through education


Panvel, March 9th, 2024 - On the occasion of International Women’s day celebrated world wide, Graceful Hands Trust, Panvel organised a grand celebration for commemoration and felicitation of women in different strata of society who have made a remarkable contribution towards the upbringing and empowerment of women from the underprivileged sections of society. The theme of the 2024 women’s day celebration was focused towards “Unleashing the power of women through Education”. Wishfully keeping in mind the theme, the trust had also invited orphan girls child for the event to grace the occasion and spread the joy with the kids.



The event was embraced by many dignitaries from field of education, media, social service, police force personnel and other prominent individuals from similar and allied activities.


The women’s day celebrations was graced by guests of honour including Dr. Kavita Kishore Choutmol (Ex-mayor of Panvel Municipal Corporation), Ms Asha Damodar Kulkarni (Hon General Secretary Anti Dowry Act Mumbai and Social Activists), Dr. Rashmi Fadnavis (Senior Gynecologist).


Other Chief Guest dignitaries who blessed the celebration with their presence included Dr Santosh M Ojha - CA, BCOM, LLB,FCA,40+ Experience in charitable trust & NGO, Vashali Galande - Senior Police Inspector, Nidhi Prabhu - Kathak Dancer/ Choreographer, Vandana Srivastava - Happiness & Abundance coach, Motivational speaker , Vibration therapist and cosmic Healer, Dr Sumathi Gopal - Advocate High Court and Corporate & Academic Trainer, Sharmila Mahapatra - Dean Academics and General Management SIES College , Shruti Sidhaye - Certified Bank Trainer from IIBF, Dr Ruksana Mhate - Senior Consultant Ob-Gyn, Sheetal Thakkar - Woman Entrepreneur and Founder of PSM Group, Dr Sarmista Chattopadhyay - A Certified Odissi classical dancer & Choreographer, Juviera Nusrat - Influencer,Brand Consultant &  Director of Mystique Events.


The celebrations were kicked off by lightning of Lamp ceremony by all the guest’s of honour and all chief guest dignitaries. In view of the theme of the event, the trust had invited students from Orphanage who were provided with sponsorships for their education via the trust to ensure the kids have a bright future and unleash their best in their field they aspire to pick a career. The trust will see through that these kids are provided with all necessary financial and counselling support during their schooling years. 


Furthermore, the participants presented classic dance performances as part of cultural program organised as a part of the celebrations for all the attendees and guests.


The cultural events were followed by a prize distribution for the participants and felicitation of the dignitaries who spent time from their busy schedules for attending the event. Further, a scrumptious dinner was organised by  the trust to mark the end of a fun-filled and memorable women’s day celebrations. The entourage bid adieu, with a message for everyone to come forward for supporting the cause of the trust and with a promise to meet again for more such events for the betterment of the weak sections of the society.

 

The organising committee of Graceful Hands trust for the event comprised of Ms Payal Madhok, Ms. Sapna Mehrotra, Ms. Suma Lalit, Ms. Balwinder Kaur, Ms. Madhumita Datta, Ms. Tithimita Pal. The event was also supported by many hardworking volunteers who ensured the smooth operations behind the curtains during the event.
